What is BSC?
All shipments to Mali are required to have the BSC document, which is also referred to as CTN. This document was established as a regulation in 2015 by the Mali Customs Officials. Failure to provide the BSC document can result in serious consequences and a substantial penalty.

- In accordance with the regulations set by the Mali National Shippers Council (MNSC), the Bill of Lading must be submitted either within 5 days following the departure of the vessel or 5 days prior to the ship’s arrival at the port.
- Failure to provide the Bill of Lading (BSC) or providing inaccurate information in the BSC will result in a penalty equal to the cost of the BSC, in addition to the regulatory fee set by the Maritime and Port Authority.
