Republic of Congo ECTN Certificate / URN Number
In order to obtain an ECTN Certificate from the Republic of Congo, you must submit the necessary documents in PDF format or fill out our ECTN Certificate form. An ECTN Certificate is issued by the customs authorities of the Republic of the Congo. An ECTN Certificate issued by an importer must be accompanied by a GUOT (Guarantee of Transmission of Goods Overseas) document. ReCCa Ride Logistics is authorized to issue ECTN Certificates from the Republic of the Congo customs authorities. You must validate your certificate at least 5 days prior to your vessel’s departure to avoid penalties.

The ECTN certificate issued by ReCCa Ride Logistics shall be issued by an official CCC representative. Ensure that the certificate is validated within 5 days after the vessel leaves the port in order to avoid any penalties. The URN reference of the validated document must be included on the BOL (Bill of Lading) prior to unloading in the country of destination.

What is ECTN?
ECTN, or Bordereau Electronique de Suivi des Cargaisons, is an electronic tracking system mandated by the authorities of Republic of Congo. This system is designed to monitor cargo from the point of loading to discharge, ensuring transparency and compliance throughout the shipping process. Essentially, it serves as a digital certificate containing crucial information about the shipment, including details of the exporter, importer, quantity, value of goods, and vessel particulars.
The ECTN document was established as a rule in 2008 by the customs officials of the Republic of the Congolese. Failure to submit the document will result in serious penalties and a fine.

What is the Procedure?
Under this law, all cargoes imported from overseas and shipped for commercial, commercial, in certain cases diplomatic and personal reasons must be accompanied by an ECTN (Electronic Cargo Tracking Note).
The shipper or the freight forwarder is responsible for acquiring the ECTN waiver certificate from the authorized representative.
Regulation Republic of Congo ECTN Certificate
- Republic of congo Customs requires ECTN certificates for all cargo coming into the country.
- The ECTN needs to be verified no later than the 5th day following the departure date. The cost of the certificate will increase by 50% if it is not verified within the specified time frame.
- If the shipment arrives without an ECTN certificate or with incorrect ECTN information, it will be subject to a fine equal to the ECTN certificate value plus the regulation charge set by the National Port Officials of the Republic of the Congolese.
