What is the Procedure?
Under this law, all cargoes imported from overseas and shipped for commercial, commercial, in certain cases diplomatic and personal reasons must be accompanied by an CTN (Cargo Tracking Note).
The shipper or the freight forwarder is responsible for acquiring the CTN waiver certificate from the authorized representative.
Togo ECTN Regulations
- Tongi Customs requires ECTN certificates for all cargo coming into the country.
The ECTN certification must be confirmed no later than five days prior to the vessel’s arrival.
- If the shipment arrives without an ECTN certificate or with incorrect ECTN information, it will be charged twice the cost of the certificate plus the regulatory charge set by the National Port Officials of Togo.
- To generate the ECTN number, it is necessary to have a preliminary Bill of lading.
